The water temp has been kind of cool to stay in it for more than 10 minutes but warm weather is on the way and we look forward to swimming alot. I am writing this long overdue letter to you to let you know how much we appreciate the quality of work that you and your contractors provided to us when you put our pool in back in December 2001. It was my intention to sit down and write to you after the pool was in, but as is usually the case, time slips by and things get put on the back burner. After hearing of our friends' experience with their own pool contractor, I have found myself in a position to express to you how much we appreciate and value to quality of work that your company performed. We have recommended Custom Pools to friends that are in the talking stages of getting a pool and have recommended Custom Pools to friends that have actually used you in the installation of their pool. They all have the same opinion as we do, one of satisfaction and joy in having used your company. One of our friends, however, that is having a pool installed as we "speak" is not having the same joyful experience. ...Thank God I chose Custom Pools!!!!
The moment I signed my pool contract with Custom Pools, a little voice told me I had made the right decision. I had plenty of estimates from several different companies that seemed to leave me with more questions than answers. It's a tough decision, What company? What shape? What price? How will it look? How long will it take, etc., the list goes on.
Then came Irv Chazen from Custom Pools. A really nice guy, who seems to understand people like me who are green to the business of pool construction.
Custom Pools is relaxed and professional, I got no high pressure sales talk, just expert advice on the best way to build a superior pool. Every question was answered fully, leaving me totally confident and ready for excavation.
I watched daily as expert craftsman created a magnificent pool.
A few days away from completion CAME HURRICANE ANDREW.....................
My almost complete pool took a beating, it was a total mess. You never know what could happen, I never thought about backup service until this happened to me. (Then I remembered that little voice)
After the initial shock of a major hurricane, I called Custom Pools, only a few days after the hurricane not really expecting anyone to be in the office, to my amazement the whole crew was there ready to work even tho their homes were badly damaged in the hurricane, now that tells me that your company is second to none.
Custom Pools resumed work on my pool, restoring my pool to its pre-Andrew condition. They took care of a few minor problems and answered all my stupid questions. They took time and patience in teaching me how to maintain my pool.
Then came MORE disasters:
Contractors working in my yard cut through the electrical cable to the pool wiring.
* Custom Pools took care of it.
A few weeks later a landscaper cut through a pool pipe.
* Custom Pools took care of it.
It's not often that you find a company with your caliber. It's nice to know that you are one of the few remaining.

.It has been four months since Custom Pools has completed the construction of our pool, spa and patio. My family and I have spent many enjoyable hours in the new addition to our home. As you know from working with me throughout the total planning and construction process I am a perfectionist and appreciate quality workmanship. So, in addition to enjoying my pool I have also spent many hours evaluating its contruction and operating efficiency. I wanted you to know that I am extremely satisfied with the results.
After hearing of the many problems others have experienced with other pool contractors, I was very concerned about having a pool installed. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are still individuals and companies that take pride in their workmanship and provide real value to the consumer. Everything works perfectly as evidenced by the fact that you have not heard from me for four months.
I have also done a financial analysis of the cost of operating the pool since its installation. My average daily consumption of electricity has increased by 12 to 13 KWH per day. Part of this increase is due to my son returning from college and living with us this year. There has also been a ten percent increase in the cost of electricity since the gulf war broke out. Even without taking these factors into account it is costing me about $1.00 per day to operate the system. I am very happy with the economic efficiency of the pool. I have enclosed copies of my FPL bills since the installation date.
Before contracting with Custom Pools to build our pool I spent many hours evaluating your competition. Some were more expensive and some quoted lower prices. However, after talking with some of your customers and evaluating your workmanship I concluded that Custom Pools provided the greatest value per dollar invested. Thanks for proving my analysis correct.

...I want to drop you a short note thanking you for your recent efforts in correcting the situation respecting my pool patio. As you are aware, my pool was built some six years ago and we have nothing but terrific things to say about the way you handled the construction in a competent and timely matter and the way the end product came out. As I have mentioned to you previously, you should feel free to show any of your prospective customers our pool at any time so that they can see the quality of the work product which you produce.
In any event, as we discussed, there is an open issue as why there was some cracking in the tile and as you pointed out, it may well have been because the person who worked on our patio failed to put expansion joints in place. Nevertheless, you accomodated us and fixed the problem some six years later without charge and I wanted to thank your company and its personnel for performing this service. I think it commendable in today's time that companies such as yours go out of their way to help a past customer to whom they owe no allegiance. Your very effort in doing this is a statement of the fine reputation which your company bears.
